Montessori Explorer offers a welcoming, stimulating environment that cultivates your child’s independence, self-esteem and social & academic potential, with an individualized curriculum that will lay the foundation for a lifelong love of learning.
Toddler Program Ages 2-3 years
Our Toddlers program is designed to address the needs of this early developmental period by focusing on the processes of independent exploration, learning, and the joy of discovering the world. Toddlers receive responsive, individualized attention to help them with practical life skills, sensorial exploration, language development, development of fine and gross motor skills, investigation of the natural world through science, and an appreciation of art and music.

Primary Program Ages 3-5 years
Our Primary program is an exciting time for a Montessori child. The Montessori curriculum is more advanced than most Primary programs. Children are introduced to basic geometry, cultural geography and other sophisticated concepts. They also begin to read, while pre-k students in many other programs are just learning to recognize letters and numbers.

Upper Elementary Program 9-12 years
The integrated curriculum of the Montessori elementary classes encourages children to see the critical relationship among all subjects and indeed, among all aspects of life. The elementary teachers follow Dr. Montessori’s plan for Cosmic Education-presenting the universe first and then relating subsequent learning to its place in the cosmos. The Montessori curriculum comes alive by engaging the imaginations of children through vivid storytelling, creative impressionistic posters, and integration of all subject areas. Integrated studies of grammar, reading and writing, mathematics, geometry, history, science, geography, Spanish, music, drama, art and physical education all come together to create a prepared environment for the elementary aged child. Elementary children participate in the planning, management and assessment of their own learning through daily record keeping enhanced by weekly conferences with their teachers. Drill in these basic subjects is replaced by a variety of creative activities, thus avoiding boredom that often leads children to withdrawal of interest or rebellion.
