Enrollment Card and Registration Fees are both due to secure your child's position. Once this is received, parents are given the required state forms that need to be completed before the child’s first day of school.

 

We accept students of varying academic ability and diverse learning styles.  However, we do not accept students who potentially may be disruptive to the class or who will require excessive individual attention from staff members.  New students are admitted with a 30-day probationary period.  This time will give both, parents and the school to determine if Montessori Explorer is the best fit for your child.

 

Montessori Explorer School reserves the right to remove a student at any time if, in the sole judgment of the School, that student’s conduct, progress, or influence on campus is not in keeping with the School’s accepted standards, as determined by the School’s sole discretion.

 

We will continue enrolling new children based on space available throughout the school year on a first come first serve basis.

Please use the following information to guide you through our admissions /application process.  Montessori Explorer School does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, sex, creed, national or ethnic origin, economic status, sexual orientation or gender in its admission procedures.

 

At Montessori Explorer, there are two annual enrollment phases for new student enrollment. Our new school year begins in August of each year. We are a year around school with brief breaks that are spread out during winter, spring and summer. We enroll student’s ages 2 To 5 years to our primary program. We offer toddler/preschool, pre-K and kindergarten and elementary up to 6th level programs in a traditional Montessori environment.  Our Elementary program follows the Department of Education requirements and we follow the CA standards very closely, typical exceeding these standards.

 

First enrollment phase starts in February of each year for the new children who will start school in the NEW SCHOOL year.

 

The second enrollment period begins in mid-October through December for new children who are starting in January each year.

 

Parents of new students are invited to contact the school and set up a date to tour the school.

The initial tour is for PARENTS ONLY.  During this meeting, you will have the opportunity to ask questions about the school, understand about the program and potential placement.  During this occasion we will learn about you, your goals for your child and his/her previous schooling and about your expectations of the school.

If the administrator and the parents feel the school can meet the expectations, the child is invited to meet the director. During this visit, the child will be asked to join the potential classroom, and the teacher will observe and provide her evaluation to the administrator.

 

If all parties feel that our school would be able to meet the needs of the child, the family will be invited to enroll.

Requirements and fees

Tours are available every Wednesday at 9:00 am. Evening tours are only by appointments. Walk-in tours are only available on Wednesday morning.
