Unlocking Learning for a Lifetime

A Montessori school for children ages 6 months to 12 years old

Why do so many families choose Montessori Explorer?

We Emphasize More than Just Academics

We honor your child’s individuality and focus on curiosity, independence, compassion, collaboration, and critical thinking, preparing him or her to take on the future with confidence, propelled by the gift of self knowledge and a passion for learning.

…but the Academics Are a Huge Strength

It is not uncommon to see four-year-olds in our school reading, six-year-olds completing long division problems, and nine-year-olds classifying botanical specimens. Our curriculum presents skills at the time when children are most ready to learn.

We’re a Community

Our school is a community for more than just the children. We view our relationship with you as a partnership, working together for the benefit of your child. Because children thrive when home and school work in harmony.

We Meet Children Where They Are

We allow each child to move and learn at their own pace. We know that learning is not linear, and that children are not ready to learn specific skills according to an adult-prepared timeline, or in perfect harmony with their peers. Kids who need more support with certain skills get that support, and those who are ready to move ahead are able to find the challenges they crave.

Our Mission

Our mission is to cultivate the whole child in a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment that honors the principles of authentic Montessori education. We are dedicated to inspiring curiosity, independence, and a lifelong love of learning—celebrating the uniqueness of every child, regardless of background. Rooted in respect, peace, and purposeful work, we empower children to explore their potential with confidence, creativity, and compassion.

Our Reviews

"I’m incredibly grateful for my son Santiago’s transition into Montessori Explorer. He had been in Montessori since he was 18 months old in Mexico, and when we moved, he only spoke Spanish — which made the change challenging. From the start, his guides provided thoughtful feedback and kept him close, helping him feel safe and supported as he adapted. Now, Santiago has made many friends, and his independence and confidence have flourished. He truly loves his school and his guides. We couldn’t be happier!"

"Montessori Explorer has been a truly special place for our family. As a father, I’ve been impressed by how the Primary program encourages real-life skills and independence from such a young age. My son comes home excited to help around the house, tell stories about what he’s learning, and show us things he’s proud of — all of which stem from the confidence he’s building at school."

You know Montessori classrooms are different than most. You’ve heard the rumors:children run around doing whatever they please. It’s all play and no work. Or perhaps you’ve heard the opposite: our structures are so rigid we stifle creativity and natural childhood behavior.
